Vibrational Riches

Today is an exciting day. Our daughter Clara turns four years young today. And Clayton is arriving back from the West Coast after scoring the ‘All The Kings Men’ soundtrack and concertizing.

To celebrate, I’m unveiling a new program that will not only lift your vibrations, it will stun you with its simple method for creating riches.

Have you ever had the secret desire to write a book? Or sell your paintings? How about composing a hit? Or publishing articles in your line of expertise? I would venture to say, that we’ve all had that urge. Catch is, few of us act on it in a productive, wealth generating way.

I’ve talked a lot about the positive vibrations in music and sound. In fact, sound is a big part of this powerful program.

There’s one more vibration that I haven’t mentioned. I will now, because it’s a crucial ingredient – that is, if you want prosperity. The vibrational energy thought. More specifically - your intention.

The magic and strength that’s created by your intention outlives and outshines everything else in your life.

When the confidence in achieving your intention supercedes your fears and doubts, you’ve utterly transformed your life. Nothing, no naysayers, no belittlers, no doubters, Nothing will stop you from manifesting that creative impulse.

Creation always begins in the mind. A thought or idea always precedes form. For example, a book is first conceived in the mind of the writer and then given shape. By consciously directing thought – intention - you transmute your desires into form.

This new program shows you the ins and outs of translating your deepest desires into reality.

Once you start using it, you’ll be vibrating at a totally new velocity. Life will never look dreary to you again. No, you won’t put on rose-colored glasses – you won’t need to. Your vision of the future will be perfection.

Sound too good to be true?

As you’ll see, my life changed immeasurable as a result of using these principles. I experimented with the powerful principles and was stunned at the results. Here’s where you can read all about it.

Soon after you use this program, you’ll see that harmonizing your life towards one goal will create a vibration So strong that you know, without a doubt, your desire is about to manifest.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

How A Voice Breaks Glass

You’ve heard of the opera singer who, through the power of his or her voice, can break a glass.

How can the vibrations of sound reach out and set another body into motion? Understand that and you’ll grasp the underlying universal force of sound – to heal or to destroy.

It all comes down to resonance. The singer’s voice is able to match the resonant frequency of the glass and set that glass into vibration. Sounds odd, I know. The fact is that Everything vibrates at a certain frequency. So the singer uses too much sound energy, overamplifies the glass, and it breaks.

Here’s another example.

You may have seen documentaries where a bridge is being vibrated by a heavy wind. The bridge begins to sway and then starts to vibrate. Soon it breaks apart and falls into the water. This phenomenon is well-known to architects. So now they create structures which can’t easily be resonated by external vibrations, such as wind.

Let’s reach even further back into history. There’s always an ancient principle revealed in each legendary story.

Consider the story of Joshua. He and his men started marching around the walls of Jericho beating drums and blowing trumpets. They marched around that wall seven times. Then they stopped. And suddenly “The people gave a great shout!” and the walls came tumbling down. Did Joshua have ancient knowledge of using resonance to collapse the walls of the city. You may think me crazy, but I believe that to be so.

All three of these images show the destructive use of resonance. Yet, just as sound can be used to destroy, it can be used to heal and transform. It’s just a difference in vibration.

Since it’s possible to set an object into motion with resonance - in the same way, we can restore the vibratory frequencies of an object that is out of tune.

Every organ, bone and tissue in your body has its own separate resonant frequency. Together they create a unifying frequency – a harmonic that is your own personal vibration. When you expose yourself to high frequency sound and music, your mind and body will vibrate in a natural, harmonious way.

Consider that Everything vibrates, from the chair your sitting on to the planets orbiting around the sun to the movement of electrons around atoms.

Since everything in the universe is in a state of vibration, exposing your mind and body to Positive frequencies is a must. Because a lot of frequencies surrounding you are – to put it lightly – damaging, depleting and depressing.

Pour the uplifting sound vibrations of the ‘Secret Power of Words and Music’ CDs to cleanse and recharge your mind and spirit. Go now to http://www.artabundance.com/secretpower.htm

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. Stay tuned, because in just a few hours you’ll hear the awesome news about your vibrations and - wealth. Listen now to The Secret Power of Words and Music - and prepare yourself for the breaking story.

Don Henley, Pavarotti and More

Trivia can be (a) fun; (b) informative; (c) downright enlightening.

Answer – All of the above.

So let’s get straight to it. First, some fun. Before we moved out to the Blue Ridge Mountains, life in Los Angeles was anything but boring. For example…

Q – Who was only musician to perform during Don Henley’s lavish outdoor Malibu wedding ceremony. (a) Sting; (b) Tony Bennett; (c) Bruce Springsteen; (d) Billy Joel; (e) Clayton Haslop; (f) the Chieftains.

A – You guessed right. My husband, violinist Clayton Haslop, performed a movement from Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra.

I distinctly remember this beautiful outdoor ceremony. Hey, Jack Nicholson was sitting behind me, and I’ve still got goosebumps just thinking about it. BTW, the other musicians I mentioned all performed in various huge tents way into the night. Helicopters aside, it was great fun.

Q - In Krakow, Poland, will you find the Paul McCartney: (a) High School; (b) Middle School; or (c) Kindergarten.

A - At the Paul McCartney Kindergarten, children learn English through Paul’s songs.

When melody and rhythm are joined with rhyme, this powerful punch transforms learning into fun and games. At any age, this is a fantastically easy way to retain new information.

Q - Did the guitar get its name: (a) in ancient Rome; (b) in ancient Greece; or (c) in ancient Tennessee.

A - Guitar probably comes from the word kithara which was the most popular musical instrument in ancient Greece.

Q - Before achieving success as a singer, was Luciano Pavarotti: (a) a chef; (b) a teacher; or (c) a librarian?

A - An elementary school teacher.

Q – Background music that’s played to enhance memory and learning must be (a) 90 beats a minute; (b) 60 beats a minute; (c) 120 beats a minute.

A – 60-beat music puts the conscious and subconscious mind in touch with each other and makes it ideal for increased learning. The slow beat relaxes you by lowering your blood pressure and your heartbeat.

Last Question – Which period had the most 60-beat a minute music, (a) Rennaissance; (b) Romantic; (c) Baroque.

A – Baroque music. Music of our time is catching up though. Composers like myself are benefiting from all the support science is throwing our way.

It’s why you shouldn’t wait a day longer to order your copy of The Secret Power of Words and Music 5 CD package. Specifically created to slow you down while your mind and body wake up. And playing now all over the world. Go read what all the hoopla’s about.

How Chinese Kids Are Chiming In

Remember those dreaded weekly piano lessons? Or your parents’ insistence that you practice the violin every day?

Same goes in China. Except now Chinese University of Hong Kong has proof that what you may not like might still be good for you. Such as broccoli. Or brussel sprouts.

Turns out, your verbal memory was significantly enhanced by learning to play an instrument. And here’s the kicker - that enhancement didn’t diminish over time. Pretty unreal.

Here’s how the Chinese figured it out.

Ninety boys between age 6 and 15 were studied in Hong Kong. Half had musical training by participating in the school’s string orchestra, plus lessons in classical music for one to five years. The other 45 had no training. Why no girls in this study – I’m hoping the reason was that this was an all boys school…

The boys who studied musical instruments remembered more words in a memory test. Even after a 30 minute delay, they retained more words than the boys who were not.

Then researchers they followed up on the same boys a year later

This is where it gets interesting. Students who had continued training and boys who had just started learning to play both showed improvement in verbal learning and memory. Students who had stopped training 3 months after the first study didn’t improve.

However, they HADN’T lost the verbal memory gains measured one year earlier.

That means the brain enhancements that took place a year earlier were Still in place. Even though, for the past nine months, they stopped training. Of course, those boys who kept up with their musical lessons kept improving.

The reason I find this study so exciting is twofold. First, no more excuses for picking up where you left off. Let’s say your life changed in a way that prevented you from completing a favorite project. By focusing your energy on that project on a later date, you are lighting up the braincells and emotions that Already Exist within you.

I know this from experience.

Due to a lower back injury I sustained early in my pregnancy, I couldn’t work out like I wanted to. But for three years leading up to that time I practiced Pilates. Once I returned to Pilates after a full year’s absence my muscle memory kicked in. It was a thrill to see how all my work had paid off, even with an unintentional break.

The second reason is this. It’s never to late to begin anything. Your brain is a miraculous organ. Do Not underestimate its power to assimilate new, life enhancing ideas.

Classical music can be used in so many wonderful ways to bring you both peace of mind And an enlightened mind.

Who wouldn’t want those two things? Go listen to the sounds of rejuvenation - your ability to create a better life for yourself is only limited by your imagination. Give your mind the powerful charge it so richly deserves.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. One of the greatest scientists to walk the face of our planet had this to say about music – ‘If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.’ – Albert Einstein. Albert played the violin and would have been thrilled to hear about all the new research on the powerful effects of music on your mind. Find out what all the fuss is about now.

Secrets from All The Kings Men Scoring Stage

My husband Clayton is in Los Angeles leading a very large orchestra on a cavernous Hollywood scoring stage - recording the soundtrack for the new motion picture ‘All The King’s Men’.

Last night he gave his first report. You see, Clayton gets to see most of the movie months before it hits theaters. Why. Because, as concertmaster of the orchestra, he not only records the music. He also goes into the control room.

Let me explain.

Recording studios generally consist of at least two rooms: the sound stage itself, where the sound for the recording is created and the control room, where the sound from the studio is recorded and manipulated.

After recording a take, Clayton joins the composer, in this case James Horner from ‘Titanic’ fame, the main engineer and the director of the film in the control room to watch the scene with the just-recorded music. Then they decide whether to proceed to the next scene, or re-record. In the process, Clayton not only watches the movie, but gets to hear the music over a huge array of speakers.

Clayton’s really excited about this film. Let me tell you that he rarely gets passionate about what Hollywood’s coming out with, so it must be good. He said that the lead actor, Sean Penn, gives an unbelievable performance and that James Horner’s soundtrack rises to the same level.

He describes the music this way.

It’s a cross between John Williams and Ennio Morricone - of Cinema Paradiso, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Clayton said that the music is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful, dramatic and haunting melodies.

This might be the reason. Apparently James Horner wrote the music directly to score – a rare event indeed in Hollywood. Usually an oscar-winning star like Horner pens his music for piano and has another composer orchestrate the music. That means someone other than who might think is adding all the color to a black and white palate. - while the star gets the credit for the whole shebang. Horner must have been very inspired to write the music for orchestra from the get-go.

One other thing. Sometimes Clayton gets to see a scene Before the music is added. He says the difference in emotional impact with the addition of music is unbelievable, especially when a great composer like James Horner weaves his magic.

It just goes to show you how life without beautiful sound and music would be dreary indeed.

Let the power of music uplift your spirit, regenerate your brain cells and relax your body. Summer is great time to rejuvenate, and music is a great tool to accomplish this. Recharge anyplace, anywhere, any time. Go and get the CDs everyone’s raving about.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. The San Francisco Chronicle described Clayton’s solo debut on a tour with Sir Neville Marriner this way: “Clayton Haslop is a highly sensitive musician with a superior command of the instrument and a presence and projection that mark the real soloist.” That was at the tender age of 19. Imagine what he sounds like now. You can, because he’s playing on many of the selections you’ll hear on The Secret Power of Words and Music 5 CD package. Order your copy now!

Girl Awakens from 10-Day Coma

The doctors in Burnley, England were very concerned about five-year-old Claudia.

10 days earlier, five-year-old Claudia Dealwis fell headfirst from a balcony – a drop of 15 feet. She suffered a fractured skull which put her in a coma. Her doctors told the little girl’s parents that she may not make it. For ten days the heartwrenching uncertainty of death hung in the air.

Then her father Paul vividly recalls how the hospital radio started playing “You’re beautiful” by James Blunt. It was Claudia’s absolute favorite song. She was always singing it – before her accident.

Soon after the song began, Claudia suddenly started moving. Her mom and dad knew immediately that she was waking from her coma.

It’s been three weeks since that miraculous day. Claudia is now walking, even with a partly paralyzed right arm and leg.

Imagine. The memory of that song instantly lit up her brain’s battery. Even thought she had heard her parents’ voices for 10 days, it was the special happy connection Claudia had to this music that triggered her synapses to fire again.

Before my father passed away, I remember a close friend telling me how hearing remains until the very end. Even when touch, vision, smell and taste may have disappeared. The power of sound to penetrate even when a person is dying or in a coma has been widely documented.

Here’s what’s important about what happened to Claudia. She had been singing “You’re Beautiful” all the time. So a great feeling was activated in her subconscious mind, as a result of this repetition.

That’s why repeating sounds that uplift you, that inspire you, that relax you – is so vital to your overall well-being. Then, whenever you play those sounds, you’ll instantly feel great. Because your positive emotional connection to them is so strong.

Now it’s your turn to revitalize. Celebrate the first day of summer with some spine-tingling music. Listen to The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs and repeat every day for maximum results.

You’ll have the best summer break yet.

What Napoleon Said

What Napoleon Said

Yesterday we visited Italy and today we’re going on a worldwide tour, beginning in France.

Napoleon was revered for his leadership. And leaders always have secrets. Occasionally they divulge them. Napoleon did as well. You’ll be surprised to know that Napoleon understood the enormous power of music. This is how he summed it up -

‘Give me control over he who shapes the music of a nation, and I care not who makes the laws.’

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Napoleon grasped the subconscious effect that certain music has on people’s behavior and thinking.

Here’s another angle on music’s incredible power to mold the mind and body. Maybe you studied music as a youngster – or have kids who are music students. If so, you’ll be happy to know that high school students who study music have higher grade point averages. They also develop faster physically. Their listening skills are greater.

Fact is that the top three schools in America all place a Big emphasis on music and the arts.

Which are the top three academic countries in the world - Hungary, Japan, and the Netherlands. What do they all have in common. Extensive music and art instruction.

This all ties into one thing – our creative imagination. Our brain is tickled when we explore all the nuances of sound by creating music. Especially classical music - the overwhelming choice for expanding your brain’s capacity.

Most of the world’s top engineers and scientists are amateur musicians or studied music as youngsters. Either way, they know their clarity of focus expands exponentially while listening to positively charged music.

Napoleon knew what science has now proven. Music’s power to persuade, to transform, to help you change gears, to uplift – is undeniable.

Eventually the whole world will be in on the secret.

You’re a few steps ahead. That’s a good place to be. So keep walking and listening.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

The Ecstasy and The Agony

News from Italia today. Italian rats might be a little more passionate than American ones, but that doesn’t account for how they responded to a mix of Ecstasy and Loud Music.

Let me explain.

These Italian rats were exposed to a high dose of Ecstasy. Then researchers turned on loud rock music. 95 decibels – the maximum noise intensity that’s permitted by law in Italian nightclubs. What they found dumbfounded them.

Somehow the loudness of negatively charged music set off the drug like a rocket gone to the moon. Because when this loud music was played, the effects of the drug lasted up to FIVE days.

Without the music, the effect wore off within a day.

That means that loud rock music quintupled the drug-induced experience. Wow, makes me wonder how this music might affect other drugs.

When these same rats received a low dose of Ecstasy their brain activity wasn’t changed anymore than if they’d received some saline solution. However loud rock music caused significant changes in the brain of rats who received even a low dose of the drug.

These hard-rockin’ Italian rats have turned my curiosity on the combo of negatively charged sounds, like noise pollution, with other bad habits, like over-eating. What might scientists discover next. That these mind-numbing sounds when mixed with an addictive behavior cause the experience to go into overdrive…

Stay tuned. Because that’s where I think we could be headed.

Go feel the significance of music’s deep connection with you by doing a little test it on yourself. Play some loud rock, pop or driving dance rhythms if you can still tolerate them. After you calm down, turn on the relaxing music of ‘Renewal’ from the Secret Power of Words and Music package – available at http://www.artabundance.com/secretpower.htm You’ll know pretty quickly, if not instantly, which sounds are better for you.

Don’t delay, act now to get those rejuvenating results.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. Those Italian rockin’ rats may have survived This experiment. Numerous exposures to anything that’s unhealthy will change your brain cells. Into making you believe a negative is a positive. That’s how mental health disorders get started. Positively charged sounds keep you grounded. They charge up your cells in a good way. Can’t imagine why anyone would go without a regular dose. Neither should YOU.

2 Astonishing Transformations

Here are two short feel-good stories about the magical powers of spine-chilling music.

An elderly woman in a nursing home, who hasn’t spoken a word in months, is sitting motionless in her wheelchair. She is listing heavily to one side. Her eyes are closed, as they always are these days. On a piano nearby, someone starts playing the old hymn "I Come To The Garden Alone".

Suddenly, the woman stirs in her chair and begins humming along. Her eyes open. Only minutes later, she is starts talking lucidly with astonished relatives.

Now, you may think that what I’ve just told you is a rare fluke. Nope. It’s happening all over the planet.

My husband Clayton doesn’t like the dizzy, drugged feeling he gets from painkillers. Not that we have them at home, but on the occasion that he needs some dental work, he does it all ‘au naturel.’ I’ve heard of other people doing this, and it blows my mind.

Next time, I’m sending him to the dentist with an iPod playing music that sends chills down his spine. Following in the footsteps of this next person’s incredible experience.

This man, a dental patient, was unable to take standard painkillers like Novocain. Instead, he puts on stereo headphones and listens, rapt, to his favorite Broadway show tunes. He’s barely aware that his dentist is drilling and scraping away, fitting him with a complicated porcelain crown.

Now, that’s incredible.

EVERY emotion, every behavior, and every thought creates a change in a molecule.

That’s why music that gives you chills can override pain. The emotional bliss can be so strong that it obliterates feeling in your nerves.

Let’s say you go watch a movie this weekend. Observe how your body and mind respond to violent or heart wrenching music. It exhausts and drains your living cells instantly. It overwhelms you with unhealthy stimuli. You go home, not invigorated and calm, but listless and rattled.

Contrast that with a dose of ‘this gives me the chills’ music.

Music that supports your mental and emotional state - what I call immune-boosting sound. Sounds that literally heal. Music that makes your molecules respond in ways scientists have yet to understand.

Why not get yourself uplifted. Restored. Relaxed.

There’s no better time than now.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. The euphoria you feel when eating certain foods or having sex is the same euphoria that is turned on by music. Imagine stimulating that blissful feeling by pushing the play button. Easy, yes. Effective, you bet!

Why We Are So Obese

Why We Are So Obese

Most Americans are either obese or overweight. It’s a serious problem that lessens quality of life in a big way.

Kids nowadays are eating more junk food while not exercising. And, get this – kids watch an average of three to four hours of television a day. That’s insane.

Adults are even worse – they average 40 hours a week. By my last count, that’s a work-week’s worth of time, mostly wasted on the couch or the bed. Since one addictive behavior inevitably leads to another, it’s no wonder that food cravings have gone through the roof. Add the fact that the msg in most junk foods is a known addictive ingredient, and you’ve got yourself a whole nation’s recipe for disaster.

300,000 Americans die as a direct result of obesity every year. And that doesn’t even take into account all the deaths from obesity-aggravated diseases, such as heart attacks, diabetes, and stroke. It rivals smoking as the leading cause of Preventable death.

Here’s the thing. If you can prevent your premature death by stopping a certain behavior, and you don’t do it, that makes you both and addict And insane.

I know, those are strong words. But strong measures are needed when we loose control over our lives. When our emotional attachments supersede rational common sense.

So, if you’re ignoring your life by turning your attention on the boob-tube, eating too much and not exercising – life on earth will not turn out very well.

However, once you accept the power within You to change anything you want to, life takes on a whole new meaning. And then, loosing weight or never lighting up another cigarette is a natural byproduct of living.

A big factor in this equation is the destructive influence of stress. Emotional, mental or physical – stress is like a cancer that spreads into all aspects of your life. Begin to address it now by eliminating it slowly and ever so surely.

Help yourself to a serving of joy instead of ice cream. While you’re at it, take a walk. Do all of this while listening to uplifting sounds. Sounds that awaken the greatness of You. Once you get a taste of your awesome potential, you’ll never look back. Check out this stress reducing sound package now.

Swimming in Sound

Last Sunday we took a drive on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs right through Asheville. Only 23 minutes from home the view from our car is only of pristine mountains.

Aside from other cars taking a Sunday drive on the winding two lane parkway, we’re on our own. We met a friend at a trailhead from where we took a short walk to a spring-fed river.

Before exploring the gurgling waters, we visited a secret place under a huge canopy of magnolias. Secret because, as Clara found, it is a place where elves live. Only the sounds of occasional birds and rustling leaves caressed our ears.

As the sun sparkled like gold dust through the tiny openings left by the leaves, Clayton played a Mozart violin concerto. Then our friend Karen sang a beautiful impromptu melody. A serene sense of joy permeated our hearts. Before leaving this sacred spot, Clara strew flower petals on the ground.

After picnicking on logs next to the river, we walked to some swimming holes at the end of a cascade of water falls.

Clayton found a natural water slide while we basked in the sunlight speckled waters and looked for ruby rocks in the natural pools. By now, all thoughts of survival were completely vanished. All that existed was a harmonious union with nature.

The gurgling mists of sounds cleansed our mind, body and spirit. After a few hours of bliss we arose to leave this sanctuary. Clara had other ideas. She said, "I want to live here in the mountains."

She expressed a deep yearning in all of us – wanting to unite with nature - forever.

As a distant thunder announced the possibility an afternoon shower, we walked the trail back to the car. During that walk, it dawned on me. Everyone should have a beautiful slice of heaven on earth to go to. Even just thinking about your special spot will give you peace of mind.

Find your own natural sanctuary this summer. Visit it regularly.

Why is this so important. Because, by communing with nature, you are connecting with the Divine inside you. And by visualizing and feeling its serenity in your mind, you’ll light up your heart. No matter where you are.

On those days that you miss your dance with nature, play the
The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs. Bask in a sea of sound restoration while you visit your sacred sanctuary in your mind. Then discover how easily you’ll be able to tap into your powerful creative imagination.

Go and get your package of uplifting sound now.

The Perfect Gift

Let’s hop right into a recent email. Then, I’ll be making a recommendation.

Dear Tania,

I listen to your 5 CD set everyday and read every word of your emails. I am 52 years old, not a musician, but one who has respected and loved classical music since the third grade.

I work in the high tech arena, supporting large computer systems in the So. California area. I've worked for Walt Disney Pictures Animation, and a variety of non-entertainment companies. Currently I work in a highly stressful environment for a finance company. With the sounds of Nextels, phones, loud conversations and constant interrupts, I at times feel like I'm going nuts.

Your timely emails address many of the issues I face each day. Most recently you spoke of meditation followed by King George and Handel's "Water Music." You hit home with that one. I've been puzzled as to why I am forgetting such common items and names. Just the other night, I was trying to remember the name of the actress Sela Ward having seen her in a television show called "House." I decided to go to bed focusing upon her face in my mind and not letting up. I believed I would remember her name sometime in the night or upon awakening. Well, at 3:30am, I awoke with her correct name, Sela Ward. This proved to me that the calming of my mind allowed her name to surface.

Again want to thank you for your insightful emails.

Best regards,
Les Larson

Thank you Les. I’m glad that you’re able to balance all those negative sounds and vibrations with positive ones. This alone will help you immensely. I also applaud your idea to ask a question with focus and intent before you fall asleep. This is a wonderful practice and one I’ll be expanding upon soon. You just beat me to the punch!

While we’re on the subject, let me share something I like to do. Namely to play certain uplifting CDs, like the Secret Power of Words and Music CDs as I’m falling asleep. These sounds set you up for deep rest and rejuvenation. Your mind quiets down and becomes much more receptive to new ideas – and eliminates old, useless information. In that state you will notice that Everything, and I mean Everything, is possible.

And with father’s day just around corner, give Dad a gift that relaxes and rejuvenates.

Play him the sounds of positively charged music and words of wisdom. Make this father’s day gift one that brings you and Dad unlimited joy.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

Light Up Like A Pinball Machine

When the great cellist Yo-Yo Ma is performing, do you think he’s thinking about what he’s doing up there on stage? I’ll answer shortly.

“Nothing activates as many areas of the brain as music,” researcher Donald A. Hodges recently told an audience at the University of Miami.

He said this while looking up at a screen showing scans of the brain during musical activity. Both hemispheres were lit up ‘like a pinball machine.’

What makes the big difference. According to Hodges - a rich environment - activating those brain cells with music and creative projects. He found that “The brain: Use it or lose it… Music changes the brain.”

He believes that, like mathematics, music is a necessary way of understanding the universe.

How else to explain that, when Yo-Yo Ma is playing his cello in concert, there is almost No activity in the part of his brain where conscious thought takes place. The guy is basically unconscious while he’s performing. Or, as I would say, superconscious.

Since all the thought to learn the music took place earlier, if Yo-Yo were to think now - while performing - he’d be making errors in judgment. By thinking he would come out of his meditative state which would impede his playing. You see, great musicians simply perform, much like a highly trained athlete.

I know this from watching my husband Clayton perform. He enters an altered state of consciousness that is so riveting to watch and listen to, you can’t help but share the experience with him. It’s absolutely magnetic.

Hodges also confirmed that “musicians are small-muscle athletes.” And here’s where it gets really exciting. Not just the performer benefits, as I was alluding above.

The listener too is having the area of the brain that controls motion stimulated. That’s why it’s actually unnatural to sit still during concerts.

Also, since your spinal chord reacts immediately to rhythm, your whole body gets stimulated by the music you’re listening too. Just like the food you eat reaches every part of your body, so does music. Only music reaches every part of you -instantaneously.

It’s becoming more difficult by the day to ignore the proof about the power of sounds. If you haven’t experienced the Positive effects yet, it’s high time to get your copy of The Secret Power of Words and Music and feel your mind and body regenerating now.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

All The Kings Men Sneak Preview

My husband, violinist extraordinaire Clayton Haslop, has just returned from scoring the latest Hollywood movies. In fact he’s off again in six days to lead the orchestra for the upcoming epic All the King’s Men.

Today, I asked Clayton to share the inside story of what it’s like to arrive at a huge, cavernous recording studio with no idea about the music he’s about to put on record for millions of fans.

“We come in and don’t know what the music’s going to be like at all. Then we have to learn it very fast, because recording starts immediately.”

My, it sure sounds like these world-class pros know how to focus.

“It’s all about being relaxed and alert at the same time. To be mindful of what you’re doing in the moment and have an eye out for what’s coming up and no thoughts for what’s happened.

“In other words, if you make a mistake, you have to immediately move forward and not dwell on the past. With challenging music, it’s inevitable that small mistakes will be made the first time through. But if you keep yourself in the moment and looking forward instead of back, they don’t lead to breakdowns in the overall flow of the music.”

Here’s a sneak peak of the music for the ‘All The King’s Men’ soundtrack. In this case, Clayton knows he’ll be scoring some solo tracks on his old Italian violin. But not the classical music kind.

Clayton’s going to bike over to the Folk Arts Center here in Asheville today to buy some good ole fiddling music CDs. In the next few days he’ll be priming the pump by listening to real Appalachian players, because ‘All the Kings Men’ is about Huey Long and takes place in 1930’s Louisiana.

Now get this. Clayton was told a few days ago that he’ll be doing lots of Solo fiddling for this movie. Next week. And he’s never fiddled before. Tall order, but if anyone can do it he can.

The soundtrack is being composed by James Horner, of ‘Titanic’ fame. Horner was already enlisting Clayton’s gifts while they were both at the University of Southern California together - Clayton as a full scholarship violin prodigy and Horner as fledgling film composer.

So, when you go watch the movie this September, listen out for those solo violin riffs. That’s Clayton playing.

And, since you won’t want to wait to hear this maestro before then, get The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs and indulge in his violin mastery right now.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. Some of the perks of being concertmaster for film scores is that Clayton gets invited to special screenings of films. He also gets interviewed for TV programs and DVDs. Two days ago I got this email from a new friend:

“Was going through ‘The Incredibles’ movie this past weekend with my daughter. We were checking out the extras on the DVD. AND SAW CLAYTON!!! Holy cow -- I know that guy. Fascinating to see him play in action. Thought I'd let you know that. Tell him hello.” Vince P. Thanks Vince. Don’t miss your chance to hear this wonderful musician performing on The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs.

Another Addict Kicks His Habit

Believing that certain music is as powerful as any addictive drug might be a hard one to swallow. But, yet again, science is winning out.

I know this by all the mail I received in response to my message on how the rhythm in rock music throws your heartbeat out of sync and destroys the synchronization of your brain’s left and right hemispheres.

And if you think you’re off the hook if you don’t listen to 70’s
rock - think again. Because, this is what I didn’t mention. The
damaging rhythm in 70’s rock is the basis of most pop, rock
and dance songs of Today as well.

With that in mind, read this:

Hi Tania,
This is just a short note to thank you for the emails that you send out. I really enjoy their content and find them all intriguing. For what its worth, when I was ~10 yrs old John Williams (movie soundtrack composer... not the classical artist) and Jerry Goldsmith were my intro to great music, and they happily offset the awful affects of the heavy metal rock I was forced to endure on the school bus every day. Early on, they led me into the appreciation of the truly great composers of the past.

I can attest to the information that you wrote about in your newsletter regarding the addictive affects of rock music.

Even though I didn't enjoy it, I found myself unwillingly and unwittingly addicted to those rhythms that have lasted for 25 yrs. It is difficult for the layperson to find concrete scientific information about the affects of rock music, and I am grateful to you for putting out the message that this is really damaging stuff.

I am making more intelligent, better-informed decisions about the music I purchase, as well as the ambient music I subject myself to.

I ordered your CD set a while ago and have enjoyed them. Thank you for the good work and helpful words you are putting out.

God bless you,
-Joe St. Angelo

Thank you Joe for sharing that with us. I admire you for your perseverance and quest for knowledge. Kicking a 25 year addiction is no easy task. Bravo! May the restoring force of positive music be with you – forever.

Restore your mind too while listening to the effortless sounds on The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs.

P.S. Joe is not alone. There are tons of people just like
him that are changing their lives just by changing their
listening habits. Read the compelling truth about music now.

How King Saul Inspired King George

King George I of Great Britain had a problem. He suffered from occasional memory loss and didn’t respond well to stress.

While reading the story of King Saul in the bible, George had an epiphany. You see, King Saul had experienced the same kind of problems. And he overcame them.

The method Saul used really intrigued to King George I.

King Saul used special music. The secret component of the music that helped him was that it had order. Just like the music from the Baroque period during George’s reign.

So George had an idea. Why not ask the greatest composer of his time, Handel, to write some special music for him. He hoped it would help him the same way it did King Saul.

Handel was delighted to help the king, and wrote one of his most famous works – “Water Music.” When you hear the majestic, gorgeous long melodies and graceful rhythms you’ll feel the heart and mind shimmer in unison. Just what King George needed.

In fact, he loved the music so much that it was repeated three times. In Handel’s life performances of “Water Music” were played for some of the largest audiences ever.

The order of this baroque music causes the brain to respond in special ways. It depicts natural patterns of rhythm and melody as well as an ebb and flow of repetition, change and speed. These are the qualities existing in math and geometry. The human brain and body recognizes these sacred patterns and performs better when listening to this ordered music.

Thank you King George I for having the wherewithal to recognize the power of music and Use it.

George and Saul would have loved reading all the research available now confirming their theories. We’re lucky to live at a time in history where, what was previously considered airy fairy or outright sacrilege has become accepted by the world of science.

Exploring the great power of positively charged music has never been more important and easier. Get your dose now!

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

Don’t Try This

Ever try to hardboil an egg at a hard rock concert. No kidding.

Bob Larson, a Christian minister and former rock musician, remembers teens from the ‘70s who did this. They would bring raw eggs to a rock concert and put them on the front of the stage. Before the end of the concert the eggs would be hard boiled by the music and could be eaten.

How did the music hard boil the eggs.

Well, eggs are mostly protein. And it’s been shown that proteins that are in a liquid become coagulated, in this case hard boiled, when they are subjected to piercing, high-pitched sounds.

Those high electric guitar riffs could be causing some other problems. When combined with the rhythms that make up most rock, pop and dance songs – it gets downright unhealthy.

The big problem is called ‘stopped anapestic rhythm’. You’ll recognize the pattern as ‘short-short-long-pause’. This rhythm became popular when rock and roll lost its roll and became known as rock in the 70’s. Most Beatles’ songs don’t have this rhythm. The groups that got it all started were Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Queen, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Bachman - Turner Overdrive, and The Band.

Here’s why this rhythm is so unhealthy.

It is the opposite of your body’s natural rhythm - your heartbeat. Thus it actually throws your heartbeat out of sync. This has been shown in lots of case studies, including the work of Australian MD Dr. John Diamond.

He discovered that, when you’re exposed to this beat for long periods, something called ‘switching’ occurs and the synchronization between the right and left hemispheres in your brain is destroyed. Yes, the brain literally gets a major hiccup. This causes confusion, irritability and stress resulting in lessened work performance, learning and behavior problems in children, and a ‘general malaise in adults.’

Because the brain controls the body, your whole body’s internal rhythm gets switched. It then starts craving the external stopped-anapestic rhythm to feel good. Like an addiction where we want something that’s not good for us in order to feel good.

So when you combine this harmful rhythm with the effects of shrill high pitched sounds, you’ve got yourself a recipe for despair.

Thankfully, most of us can avoid this music. To repair and heal your mind from previous exposure, listen to positively charged, beautiful music. Your brain needs to be nourished as much as your body does. Get your 5 CD packagenow and start your journey of radiant health.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. The center of our life is rhythm - the breath - the heartbeat. The seasons also reflect this natural rhythm which is inherent in all living beings. Line up your internal rhythms the healthy way now.

Releasing Little Annoyances

It sure is easy these days to get angry about things you see and hear – especially in the media.

Some people thrive on getting upset at others. They are under the mistaken impression that angry adrenaline is pure energy. Not so.

For those of us who don’t thrive on negative, unhealthy rage there is another kind of emotion to release. Namely annoyances. Those little things that might cast a little spell of heaviness on our day.

Here’s a little examplero. Yesterday, I was in the middle of a creative project when the doorbell rang. Rats, I thought, but I had not choice but to respond. Nobody else was available.

So, I stopped my activity and opened the door. It was a guy coming to look at one of our bathtubs, which needs a level adjustment. I had forgotten he would be dropping by yesterday. Though I really wanted to go back to my studio, I knew that he needed me to stick around to answer any questions about the tub. It was a minor inconvenience.

I’ve become more flexible about interruptions since we had Clara. It still doesn’t erase the fact that I dislike them immensely when I’m creating.

So, this is what I did. Once the man left – he was a really nice guy which helped in keeping my state of calmness – I went back into my room and listened to two of my pieces, Elegy and The Breath of Dawn. By letting this music pour into my heart and mind, I rapidly connected to that creative place again.

Music has a way of entering your body on all levels at the same time. Especially when you express this intention and know that your music choice supports it.

These two musical selections I mentioned are used numerous times in The Secret Power of Words and Music Package. The vibrations in these sounds melts annoyances effortlessly and quickly. Anything from intense rage to minor irritation gets quenched. And transmuted into calm detachment.

Essential to your peace of mind, me thinks. So go soothe your mind and soul with music.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French

P.S. Children and pets also get angry when they’re unable to control their environment. This creates a deep frustration which can turn into anger. The relaxing vibrations of the CD Renewal can really help in this situation.
