Get Into The Rhythm
We finally found a new person to help us out with Clara. One thing they immediately bonded on was being in sync.
Using rhythm.
They’d make up a simple sing-song about something or another and march or play while chanting it over and over again.
Clara’s anxiety during our search for someone to help out was quickly soothed with the power of rhythmic play. It’s no wonder. Rhythm is one of the keys to a healthy life. In more ways than one.
Athletes and people who have a daily workout routine talk about getting into a certain rhythm. A great day has a certain rhythm to it. Pacing, breathing and feeling the beat of our day puts us in touch with the natural pulse of life.
Even if interruptions occur, you can step out of your dance for a moment, and continue as soon as there is an opportunity. Because rhythm is order. And order gives us stability and confidence.
For example, Clara got the news that Mary wasn’t coming in, was momentarily distraught, and then changed gears when she understood it was just for a day.
Here’s another thing. Rhythm affects your whole brain. Whereas vision is located in one part of the brain, speech in another, music uses the brain globally. So that anything musical can reach the brain through different pathways.
Everyone yearns for the structure rhythm provides. The reason is rhythm helps us organize our reality.
Your heart is a rhythm-organ. It acts as a health monitor when you take your pulse after simple or invigorating exercises. Getting into a rhythmic flow - whether it’s your daily rhythm or by getting into a flow with high frequency music - makes you feel good, whole and healthy.
Enjoy the pulse of a healthy life now.
Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French
P.S. One reason pop/rock/blues/rap/dance music is so pop-ular, is that people crave rhythm. Xcept some rhythm isn’t so good for that heart of yours. Like sugar and junk food, listen in low doses and rest up again with the good pulsing sounds.
