7 Tips to Optimum Brain Health
I’ve never seen a brain, but med students will tell you it looks just like another organ. And, just like any other piece of meat, its health depends on your blood circulation.
Your brain needs to assimilate nutrition and eliminate waste. Or else you have yourself a constipated brain.
Backing up sludge, goo, toxins or what you prefer to call it, is never a good idea. A congested brain can cause 1000 diseases including Alzheimer’s, paralysis, eye and hearing disorders, senility and depression.
Think of your body as a car. If you put bad gas in your car is won’t run very well and eventually break down. In the exact same way, poor nutrition and dirty blood mean brain dis-function.
And we’ve just been talking about the physical stuff. Add the sounds and words you listen to on a daily basis and you’ve got yourself a ton of influences on how you’re going to feel.
What your well-being comes down to, literally, is what you choose to put into your brain. Whether it enters through you mouth, your skin, your eyes or your ears – don’t matter – it’s feeding your brain.
The equivalent of ‘fast food’ for your brain are - most TV, most radio, all pre-packaged food, non-supportive friends and family, lack of exercise, lack of sleep, too little H2o, and a bad attitude.
Now take a 180 degree turn on those categories and give your brain the following healthy nutrients.
1. Books, videos and music that uplift and inspire
2. Fresh, organic homemade food
3. Supportive, positive friends
4. Exercise, outdoors if possible
5. Sleeep
6. Lots of clean, pristine, filtered water
7. A ‘my glass is half-full and I’m thrilled to be alive’ attitude
Got those and you’ll feel like a million bucks. Stay tuned because you’ll be hearing about something special regarding point No. 2 – it’s still under wraps – but keep your appetite and eyes peeled.
