Better Watch Out for these Painkillers
Remember Vioxx? Well the news on painkillers turned even uglier today.
First, Vioxx is more damaging than previously reported. Not only does it increase the risk of heart attacks and stroke - it may also cause kidney damage and heart arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm).
Turns out that some older, "safe" painkillers cause the same heart problems as Vioxx. And, get this – the American Medical Association includes Ibuprofen on this list. For anyone who doesn’t know, ibuprofen is an over-the-counter drug. And widely used.
I should know. Though I haven’t touched the stuff in six years. Ever since my dentist told me it causes kidney problems. But that’s a whole nother story.
It’s widely known that these anti-inflammatory drugs cause gastrointestinal problems. Now that they’re adding heart problems to the mix will hopefully deter most people from using them.
Here’s some good news. Today the same Journal of the American Medical Association is reporting that drinking green tea can reduce the risk of early death from heart disease by up to a quarter. Green tea can also decrease deaths from other causes such as strokes.
Proves yet again that what seems like bad news at first is just an invitation to make a change.
If you have a need for painkillers you’ll be interested to know that numerous studies have shown how high frequency music reduces pain in people suffering from arthritis and other painful conditions. This positive music has been so successful that hospitals are now prescribing it as a get well remedy.
As with anything that’s good for you, it’s good for many things. Whether eating more greens, sleeping longer, exercising or relaxing to positive sounds – you benefit from head to toe, not just in one specific part of your brain or body.
It’s why aiming for overall good health is always the way to go. To make it even easier go hear this now.
Warm Regards,

P.S. Nothing beats feeling healthy and vibrant. Bring the delicious sounds of joy into your daily life. There’s no better nutrition for the soul.
