Ask And You Shall Receive
Last weekend I attended a meeting of very like-minded people. The air in the room was electric. The main reason for this electricity was a secret we all shared.
All of the people in that room were not afraid to ask for help.
One thing that sets doers apart from loses is that they put their egos aside. By that I mean, they become a receiving organ for valuable information. For many people, their self-image gets in the way. They don’t want to lose face, so they don’t ask questions.
I mean real, life-changing questions. Not, “where is the nearest Starbucks.”
So, in this room were lots of highly successful entrepreneurs who wanted to make their lives even better. They asked, and they received.
When you ask for advice and gather information, it’s a sign that you are Committed. As Steve Chandler says in his fantastic book ‘The Small Business Millionaire’, “the first sign that a person is committed is that he asks for help.”
Guess what happens.
First of all, once you ask for help, you’ve moved energy away from your past, with all its problems and all its suffering, into the present and future. It’s a mega-shift that frees your mind of all kinds of emotional baggage. And believe me when I say that emotional stuff is a major barrier to achieving prosperity.
So, you go out and investigate. Your mind is now looking at what’s possible, instead of what’s impossible, and viola – your happiness meter shoots straight up.
Joy in life is directly related to the energy you put into living it. If you’re curious about how to improve every day, you don’t have time to worry, to procrastinate and, what’s even worse, pity yourself. No time, because you’re too focused on living Now.
One crucial ingredient to achieving this is to create something that brings you joy in the first place. Something you’d do for nothing. If you’re working at a job you’re not happy at, a job that you took because the salary made you feel safe, if you’re unpassionate and uncommitted in your daily life – you’ll not find prosperity. I’m not saying to quite your job, just to begin looking at whether it’s the best fit for you.
Again, start asking questions.
Then pick up a book, a CD, and even go to a seminar. You’ll only get motivated if you expose your mind to greatness. There’s greatness everywhere. You just need to open your eyes. Begin today and get some of your biggest questions answered.
You’ll discover the true meaning of the word Freedom.
Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French
P.S. The great Vince Lombardi had this to say. “The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.” Commit now, and you’ll start laughing at how much fun life really is. And kick yourself for not starting on the joyful road sooner.
