Why Not Litter

A few days ago I returned from some errands to an incident that still boggles my mind.

I got out of the car opened the passenger door and next thing you know a white SUV slowly drove by, the back passenger window goes down and a blonde teenage girl threw a Styrofoam cup she’d just finished drinking from onto our property.

She was aiming for the day lilies that ring the fence. Shocked at the pea-brain behavior of this girl, who looked college age, I dropped my bags, picked up the cup and stood in the middle of the street with it.

You’re probably wondering why I did this.

Instead I was left with my thoughts about pea-brain size human beings. And the origin of poverty consciousness. Any form of garbage dumping is a sign of deep disconnect. Since everything we do and say is a reflection of who we are, a person who litters is a person who’s un-conscious.

Your mind can either be used as a dumpsite for irrelevant, negative, mindless thoughts or a fertile plain where life-enhancing, beautiful, healthy ideas can flourish. People are either unconscious or conscious of everything they do.

Since we live in a fee-choice universe, we have the glorious freedom to choose between the two. When you choose greatness over mediocrity you’ll never have another guilt-trip ever. Guaranteed.

Why? Because your mind is engaged, aware, and clear. Because consciousness and compassion work hand in hand. Because choosing what is life-generating will Never leave you in doubt.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French
