The Big Mistake
Let me ask you something. Do you think that creating something that makes others feel good is selling out?
If you answered in the affirmative, you’re utterly mistaken.
To create something that others want is Not selling out – it’s simply selling. Not only that, it’s creating good fortune. For yourself and others.
Look, if you love what you do, and others love what you do and want to buy it – that can only be Good News. Because you’re getting in harmony with the universe. There’s nothing morally wrong with it. Absolutely nothing.
I know it might be hard thinking of yourself has creative And financially successful. I’ve sailed that boat in shallow seas most of my life.
And let me tell you something else. I’ve found creators, including myself, to be More stubborn about morality and money than any other group of people. To put it another way, many creative types believe that becoming wealthy Is immoral.
Guess what. The truth of the matter is that it’s Not morally wrong to make others happy while you make yourself happy and prosperous. There’s not one thing wrong with that.
What would be morally wrong is to sell drugs or pornography to kids. That’s wrong!
You’re best creative work comes as a result of being free. In every way. Free from emotional baggage, free all stress and, yes, free from all financial worry. In fact, most stress comes as a direct result of financial debt.
Surviving is not living. It’s incredibly draining. If you truly want to live the best life you’re capable of then step out of poverty consciousness and cast off
the shackles of worry.
Remind yourself daily, ‘By the inch, it’s a cinch – by the yard, it’s hard.’
Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French
P.S. In September of 2005, Andre Agassi, in his 20th year as a pro played in the U.S. Open Tennis Finals, becoming the oldest man to make the Finals in 31 years. He said during the tournament, “I love pushing myself to my limits day after day year after year... The reason why tennis has given me so much is because I've given so much to it... My goals are an inch ahead of me - the next shot, the next point. It's been an amazing ride.'” Everyone can have an amazing ride here.
