Swimming in Sound

Last Sunday we took a drive on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, which runs right through Asheville. Only 23 minutes from home the view from our car is only of pristine mountains.

Aside from other cars taking a Sunday drive on the winding two lane parkway, we’re on our own. We met a friend at a trailhead from where we took a short walk to a spring-fed river.

Before exploring the gurgling waters, we visited a secret place under a huge canopy of magnolias. Secret because, as Clara found, it is a place where elves live. Only the sounds of occasional birds and rustling leaves caressed our ears.

As the sun sparkled like gold dust through the tiny openings left by the leaves, Clayton played a Mozart violin concerto. Then our friend Karen sang a beautiful impromptu melody. A serene sense of joy permeated our hearts. Before leaving this sacred spot, Clara strew flower petals on the ground.

After picnicking on logs next to the river, we walked to some swimming holes at the end of a cascade of water falls.

Clayton found a natural water slide while we basked in the sunlight speckled waters and looked for ruby rocks in the natural pools. By now, all thoughts of survival were completely vanished. All that existed was a harmonious union with nature.

The gurgling mists of sounds cleansed our mind, body and spirit. After a few hours of bliss we arose to leave this sanctuary. Clara had other ideas. She said, "I want to live here in the mountains."

She expressed a deep yearning in all of us – wanting to unite with nature - forever.

As a distant thunder announced the possibility an afternoon shower, we walked the trail back to the car. During that walk, it dawned on me. Everyone should have a beautiful slice of heaven on earth to go to. Even just thinking about your special spot will give you peace of mind.

Find your own natural sanctuary this summer. Visit it regularly.

Why is this so important. Because, by communing with nature, you are connecting with the Divine inside you. And by visualizing and feeling its serenity in your mind, you’ll light up your heart. No matter where you are.

On those days that you miss your dance with nature, play the
The Secret Power of Words and Music CDs. Bask in a sea of sound restoration while you visit your sacred sanctuary in your mind. Then discover how easily you’ll be able to tap into your powerful creative imagination.

Go and get your package of uplifting sound now.

Warm Regards,
Tania Gabrielle French
