Frank Sinatras High Frequencies
While I was watering a part of our garden yesterday, our next-door neighbor suddenly popped his head out his back deck door and asked me a question.
This young man recently moved up to Asheville from Florida. He’s quiet and a lover of music. Within days of moving here he had found my website, unbeknownst to me, and subscribed to this newsletter.
Yesterday, he asked me this.
‘How do you know what’s high frequency music.’
Good question, I thought out loud. I get my info originally by checking my innate, visceral response to what I’m hearing. Then I confirm my hunches by doing a lot of research. But some music hasn’t been researched this way.
He continued. ‘I love listening to Frank Sinatra. Is his music considered high frequency or should I throw out my CD collection.’
I quickly replied, ‘No. Please don’t throw out music you enjoy listening to.’
Then I explained that Frank Sinatra’s music is full of long beautiful melodies. His voice is gorgeous and soothing. I would venture to say, that his voice resonates positive high frequencies.
Beautiful melody and soothing voice are two qualities that in themselves make his recordings relaxing and rejuvenating. Sinatra also didn’t use low frequency thumping sounds to pound his music into you. He’s all about gentle story telling and joy.
Plus, Sinatra usually sang with a full orchestra. Strings and winds and horns add to the high frequency quotient. Especially in Sinatra songs, which are often on the slow side. Slow, meaning, their tempo creates a healthy heartbeat of around 60 beats a minute.
‘The Way You Look Tonight’ on The Columbia Years CD as well as ‘Everybody Loves Somebody’ are classics anyone can relax to.
Our neighbor was relieved. Look, any music that uplifts your spirits and slows down your breathing is good for you. The same goes for words. Wise words spoken with beautiful intent are powerful indeed.
Getting positively charged music into your system every day will change today from mundane to special. You’ll go from feeling like it’s ‘just another day’ to rejoicing in ‘how great a day it is today’. Vibrations have a funny way of doing that.
The Secret Power of Words and Music package is chocker-block full of these rejuvenating vibrations. Get your copy now.
