Hail to the Chief
Lots of people think they’ve got to please everyone else in order to be happy and successful. Whether it’s your boss, mom or dad, teacher or spouse - doing something to please someone else is a pretty dismal way to live.
In fact, following this formula does not bring success. It leads straight to failure.
The good news is that the only person you have to make sure is taken care of is – You. This doesn’t mean you’re being selfish.
And here’s why.
You Are Everybody. I know, I know, it sounds strange. But think of it. You’re walking along the street and run into someone who is a bundle of joy. You get excited and can’t take you’re eyes off that person. And the reason is two-fold.
1. It rubs off on you.
2. You realize, “Hey, I can feel that way too.”
Because it’s everyone’s right to feel happy and successful. They just don’t know it yet. Because they’re too busy trying to please other people.
That’s why when you take care of your needs, everyone is affected.
Look. If you’re doing something that’s right for you and you alone, you’re doing something that’s right for everyone. If you just sit and worry or complain, the effect on others is, well, negative.
It’s time to take care of the chief. That’s you. Begin now by unwinding to positive, uplifting sounds. Because rejuvenating your mind and body is the best recipe for joy.
Warm Regards,
