Throw This Idea to the Wolves
I used to think there wasn’t enough money to go around. What a big mistake that was.
How on earth could I feel resolved about living a wealthy life when I’m thinking there’s not enough stuff. The basic drive for all of those racing on the hamster wheel is that there’s not enough for everyone, including themselves.
I’m sure you can relate to the fact that this concept, that there is not an unlimited, opulent universe, has led to much suffering.
It made me thinking. Where did we get this ridiculous idea. Why is it part of our psyche.
Here’s one of my theories.
A long time ago we were all infants. We nursed on our mother’s milk until it went dry, or mama wanted out. Then we were given a bottle. Most of us did not have the luxury to nurse until we wanted to stop.
You’re probably wondering what the heck I’m getting at.
Consider the association between nursing on mommy’s breast and what the life-sustaining milk provided. Milk became the representation of love. Then go one step further. Love and Milk become interchangeable.
The bottle many of us were given ruined our connection to the source of life: love. The message is crystal clear: love turns into food which turns into physical objects.
The hamster wheel of the money game is nothing more than searching for love in an empty bottle.
Associating money with accumulation of physical objects is a big mistake. Money is only energy. Nothing more, nothing less. Creativity is nothing but energy. It follows that more money allows for more creativity.
Even if you think my theory is bogus, you can see how the hamster wheel way of thinking is prevalent everywhere. So whether you agree with the cause or not, the result needs tackling. All the time.
